flècheUn collier. Ce taré nous avait envoyé un collier ! Il se foutait de nous ou quoi ? Un truc qui tombait en ruine en plus ! Avec deux rangées de perles bleues et blanches et une plaque en argent au milieu, bourrée de turquoises à moitié défoncées.

Bon, pour les turquoises, c’était plutôt bien choisi. C’est la pierre porte-bonheur des Indiens Navajos, le peuple de notre grand-père. Oui, parce qu’on est des Peaux-Rouges. Sans les plumes. Mais de là à nous envoyer un collier, c’était un peu abusé ! Pendant que je prenais la chose pour la regarder de plus près, Jack plongea la main dans l’enveloppe pour en sortir un truc encore plus louche.         Continue reading

So once Cody got tired of laughing, he helped his burrito-looking brother get out of the hammock. That is, he almost ripped up the entire thing. Then we exchanged a glance and tossed the broken pieces into the garbage can, casting furtive looks around like we were getting rid of a murder victim.

It was dark inside the house. The windows had been covered with white cotton curtains to keep us fresh. (Insert bad joke here). We crossed the living room without seeing anybody. Continue reading
